ITB Shines at Pertamina Goes To Campus 2024, Receives the "5 Years of Impact Award"

JAKARTA, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) was honored with the "5 Years of Impact Award" alongside 10 other universities for their achievements as winners of the TOP Pertamuda 2021–2024 competition, during the launch of Pertamina Goes to Campus (PGTC) 2024. The award ceremony took place on Thursday (10/7/2025) at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta.

This award serves as a tribute to 11 universities recognized for their consistent efforts in producing outstanding students through the sustainable business idea competition, TOP Pertamuda, from 2021 to 2024. The TOP Pertamuda program is a national competition aimed at fostering entrepreneurial innovation and strengthening the role of young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the energy sector.

Representing ITB at the event was Prof. Dr.rer.nat. apt. Sophi Damayanti, S.Si., M.Si., Director of Alumni Relations and Career Development at ITB, who received the award symbolically. She was accompanied by Intan Taufik, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.; Dr. Fathiro Hutama Reksa Putra, S.T., M.Sc.; and Rafli, an Electrical Engineering student from the class of 2023. Their presence highlights ITB’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable entrepreneurial spirit within the campus community.

In addition to ITB, the "5 Years of Impact Award" was also presented to several other leading Indonesian universities recognized for consistently producing top finalists in the TOP Pertamuda competition. These include Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and the Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (PENS).


Pertamina Vice President Director, Oki Muraza, expressed his hope that the program would foster a new generation of innovators with fresh ideas who could become future leaders in the energy sector. He emphasized that the success of the program owes much to the broad participation of academic communities who, over the past four years, have continuously innovated and demonstrated a strong commitment.

Pertamina Corporate Secretary, Arya Dwi Paramita, stated that since the program’s inception in 2021, more than 10,000 students from 696 universities have participated in TOP Pertamuda. Of these, 140 finalists have secured development funding totalling IDR 1.6 billion.

Meanwhile, Pertamina’s VP of Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, highlighted that PGTC is more than just a networking event—it is a strategic platform to encourage youth contributions in creating sustainable innovations in the national energy sector.

The "5 Years of Impact Award" presented to ITB serves as a recognition of the university's consistency and active role in nurturing high-achieving students who excel not only academically, but also in addressing future energy challenges.
