BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The series of events for the Adicitra Ganesha 2025 art exhibition and auction, held at the ITB Ganesha Campus, has officially concluded on October 21, 2025. In his closing remarks, ITB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., expressed deep appreciation for the collaboration forged between academia, art, and the community in making the event a success, particularly in revitalizing the ITB Endowment Fund.
In his closing address, Prof. Tatacipta emphasized that Adicitra Ganesha was not merely an exhibition of visual beauty, but a manifestation of souls who cherish knowledge, culture, and life.
"What makes this evening special is not only the charm of the art, but also the spirit of mutual cooperation behind it," said the Rector. "Through Adicitra Ganesha, we have all contributed to sustaining the ITB Endowment Fund, a vessel that keeps the flame of knowledge and creativity burning brightly on this campus."
He underscored that the support provided, whether in the form of time, effort, ideas, or donations, energizes ITB to continue educating the nation's future generations.
"Because ultimately, art and science share the same goal: to uplift human dignity and build a more beautiful civilization," Prof. Tatacipta affirmed.
Art Auction Supports Endowment Fund
Adicitra Ganesha 2025, themed "Appreciation, Representation, Transformation," was an art exhibition and auction aimed at raising funds for the ITB Endowment Fund. The event featured over 50 national fine art maestros and designers, including Nyoman Nuarta, A.D. Pirous, and Singgih S. Kartono.
The event series officially commenced on October 8, 2025, graced by the presence of Indonesia's 6th President, Prof. Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), who delivered a Cultural Address and symbolically donated his painting.
The art exhibition itself successfully ran from October 18-21, 2025, at ITB's West and East Halls, attracting numerous visitors. All proceeds from the silent auction of artworks, conducted via adicitraganesha.com, were entirely channeled to strengthen the ITB Endowment Fund.
During the closing ceremony, the Head of ITB's Business and Endowment Fund Management Agency (BPUDL), Prof. Dr.rer.nat Poerbandono, S.T., M.M., presented an update on the fund's status. Thanks to the support and participation of various parties, the ITB Endowment Fund has now reached Rp 367.99 billion. Prof. Poerbandono also announced an ambitious new target: to reach Rp 3 trillion. This fund, he asserted, will be prioritized for scholarship programs, ensuring ITB's commitment that no student is forced to discontinue their studies due to financial constraints.
The Rector concluded his remarks with a strong hope that the camaraderie fostered during Adicitra Ganesha would mark the beginning of many more collaborations and synergies between academia, art, and society in the future.
"Thank you for your presence and your love for ITB. Good evening, may we all always be inspired to continue creating and sharing," he concluded.
