BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) collaborated to organize the Entrepreneur Expo at the East Auditorium, ITB Ganesha Campus, from Tuesday to Wednesday, September 17-18, 2025. This exhibition not only served as a platform for selected entrepreneurs across West Java but also highlighted the entrepreneurial potential of ITB's academic community, facilitated by the Ganesha Connection platform.

Ganesha Connection is a platform under ITB's Directorate of Science and Technology Area, located in Summarecon Bandung. Its primary role is to bridge various innovations originating from ITB's academic community with a broader market. "Many ITB products from various faculties, such as catalysts, electric cars, and others, need to reach the market. That's where we come in, connecting these products to consumers," explained Kak Lukni from the Ganesha Connection Team, during the event.

The platform extends beyond mere marketing, offering comprehensive support. Ganesha Connection assists ITB's academic community in obtaining legal protection for their works and facilitates meetings with potential investors. "Innovators can focus solely on creating excellent and market-ready products, and we can help with legal matters," he added. This approach allows innovators to fully concentrate on product development without the burden of legal complexities or fundraising. Further information on the services and innovations supported by Ganesha Connection is available on their official website at ganeshaconnection.com.

Since its establishment in 2024, Ganesha Connection has achieved significant milestones. The platform has successfully fostered collaborations between ITB and major companies, including Pertamina. A tangible example of ITB's innovation facilitated by Ganesha Connection is the water refilling stations found across the ITB campus, which utilize ITB-developed water filter technology. Currently, Ganesha Connection is exploring collaboration with the Bandung City Government for innovations in the electric sector, underscoring its contribution to regional development.

Innovations supported by Ganesha Connection are highly diverse, not limited to high technology. The platform also champions the development of simple technologies highly beneficial for MSMEs, such as a dehydrator product by an ITB lecturer, also showcased at the expo. Ganesha Connection actively seeks markets for products that have not yet secured investors, ensuring every innovation has an opportunity to flourish.

Ganesha Connection is freely accessible to all members of ITB's academic community, including lecturers, students, alumni, and educational staff, without any charge. They can register to receive assistance in finding markets for their products or services. The platform even facilitates the offering of services like private tutoring. Ganesha Connection serves as an ITB marketplace specifically designed to market innovative products and services from the ITB community for Indonesia.

Through Ganesha Connection, ITB's academic community can:
1. Offer products and services aligned with their expertise, such as marketing, data analysis, design, and more.
2. Showcase research outputs developed collaboratively by students and faculty members of Bandung Institute of Technology
3. Seek products and services needed for personal, research, or business purposes.

With the establishment of Ganesha Connection, ITB further solidifies its position as an educational institution that not only fosters innovators but also ensures these innovations can reach and provide tangible benefits to society and industry across Indonesia.
