BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – In conjunction with the Mechanical Festival (M-Fest) 2025, Mechanical Engineering Student Society (HMM) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) conducted a community service initiative titled "Engine Tune Up (ETU) x Pertamina Enduro." This event, held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Babakan Siliwangi parking area, provided services to hundreds of motorcycle owners from diverse backgrounds.

Engine Tune Up (ETU) is a free workshop program and an annual tradition of HMM ITB, organized to welcome M-Fest. Its primary objective is to offer complimentary motor vehicle maintenance services, including oil and spark plug replacement. This year's event was made possible through a collaboration with Pertamina Enduro, which served as the lubricant supplier.

A total of 116 motorcycles received service during the event, with oil and spark plug replacements provided according to the specific motor type. Records show that 108 bottles of various types of oil and 50 spark plugs were distributed to participating individuals. The ETU service catered to both manual and automatic transmission motorcycles, adhering to specific criteria, and was consistently supervised by experienced technicians to ensure safety and quality workmanship.

The community surrounding the ITB Ganesha Campus and students alike responded positively to the event, particularly appreciating the convenience and cost efficiency it offered for vehicle maintenance.

"Mechanical engineering students should always have events like this; it eases burdens, and mechanical knowledge can truly be applied through community empowerment and service," stated Didin Budina, a local resident who directly benefited from the activity.

The ETU event stands as a tangible manifestation of applying mechanical engineering knowledge within a social context, while also serving as a contextual learning platform for students. Beyond honing their technical skills, students gained valuable experience in managing large-scale events and engaging directly with the community.
