ITB Expands International Collaboration with University of Galway Through MoU Signing

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) has broadened its international collaboration network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Galway, Ireland, on Monday (28/4/2025) at the ITB Rectorate.
The MoU was signed by ITB’s Vice Rector for Communication, Partnership, Alumni, and Administration, Dr. Andryanto Rikrik Kusmara, S.Sn., M.Sn., and the Head of Global Partnerships at the University of Galway, Catherine-Maria King.
Through this agreement, both institutions have committed to exploring various forms of collaboration in education and human resource development, including staff and student exchanges, joint research, co-teaching initiatives, and other mutually agreed-upon academic activities. Beyond serving as a framework for cooperation, the MoU outlines key principles such as data protection, information confidentiality, and publication governance. Dr. Rikrik emphasized that this collaboration aligns with ITB’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its role and contributions in global higher education. “We hope this signing marks the beginning of a mutually beneficial inter-university relationship,” he stated. Catherine-Maria warmly welcomed the partnership, expressing gratitude to ITB for hosting the MoU signing ceremony.
