JAKARTA, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Jakarta Campus hosted an Open House event on Saturday-Sunday (17-18/5/2025) at the ITB Jakarta Campus, Graha Irama Building, 10th Floor, Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Carrying the theme “Connecting Global Opportunities Creating Future Together”, the event was conducted to broaden participants’ knowledge regarding ITB’s international undergraduate programs as well as sustainable education programs for potential students, training participants, and ITB partners in Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
One of the key segments of the ITB Jakarta Campus Open House was a presentation on ITB’s Sustainable Education Programs, delivered by the Head of the Sub-directorate of Continuing Education, Ir. Irwan Iskandar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. He went over multiple non-regular programs, such as the Non Regular Non Degree program, the short program, and the executive program.
The NRNG program aims to give Indonesian citizens greater access to ITB’s learning services, particularly to master courses. “This program allows participants to attend courses in ITB’s regular classes for up to 12 credits. This is very beneficial for those who are seeking to broaden their knowledge of technology, or even as a stepping stone to pursue a Master’s Degree,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the short program is a structured, 1 to 3-day training designed to provide practical and applied skills. It is intended for professionals, managers, and entrepreneurs who want to enhance their competencies in a limited timeframe. “The main focus of the short program is to develop skills that are relevant to today’s workforce challenges. The learning method is intensive, interactive, and directly applicable,” he said.
For more in-depth competency development, ITB also offers the Executive Program–a mid-length learning program lasting about 10 to 15 weeks. This program is aimed at executives, senior managers, and business leaders who wish to strengthen their strategic cross-functional understanding without leaving their day-to-day jobs. “Unlike the short program, which is concise and practical, the Executive Program allows participants to delve deeper into theoretical concepts, work on projects or case studies gradually, receive mentoring or coaching, and build professional networks across sectors,” he added.
He also added that all three programs were designed to meet the demand for flexible and relevant learning in a rapidly changing era. “We aim to position ITB as a strategic partner in lifelong learning, for both individuals and institutions, with flexible formats, practice-oriented teaching, and access to ITB’s experienced lecturers. We believe these programs can contribute to improving the quality of Indonesia’s human resources,” he concluded.
