ITB Recieves Most Active Category Award at Government Social Media Summit Award

The Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) reaffirms its commitment to building active and adaptive public communication through social media. In the Government Social Media Summit Award (GSMS Award) 2025, ITB was nominated as one of the most active institutions in the Most Active category, alongside Padjadjaran University and Terbuka University.

The GSMS Award is an annual form of appreciation initiated by Awrago and NoLimit Indonesia, as well as IPRAHUMAS as an organizing partner to government institutions and universities that have succeeded in managing social media strategically, creatively, widely impactful. This event also becomes a collaboration space between social media managers to share their best practices.


In response to this nomination, ITB's Director of Communication and Public Relations, Nurlaela Arief, replied that social media has become an important part of the campus' communication strategy.

"For ITB, social media is not just an information channel, but a space for engagement. Through educational and relevant content, we strive to present an open, warm, and inclusive identity of ITB for the entire community," she said.

With a total number of followers that continue to grow on various platforms, such as @itb1920 Instagram , @itbofficial X account, as well as @itbofficial YouTube channel and @itbofficial TikTok , ITB consistently presents educational content, aligned with the spirit of the tridharma of higher education. These contents not only display academic activities and research innovations, but also present the humanistic and inspiring side of ITB's academic community.


This award was received directly by Mega Aulia Insani, S.Ds., Head of the Graphic Design Subdivision of ITB, who was present as the institution’s representative at the award presentation ceremony at the Auditorium of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, Thursday (17/4). 

"Being the winner in the Most Active category is an encouragement for us Public Relations Team. This is proof of the teamwork of the public relations team who consistently present beneficial content on social media," he said.
With this achievement of ITB, ITB hopes to continue to make a real contribution in the digital space as a university that upholds information disclosure, communication innovation, and technology-based public services.
