BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Institut Sains dan Teknologi Nasional (ISTN) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education on Thursday (September 18, 2025) at Rapim Room A, ITB Rectorate Building, Jalan Tamansari, Bandung.

The MoU was signed directly by ITB Rector Prof. Dr. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., and ISTN Rector Dr. Ir. Isnuwardianto, DEA. The agreement serves as a foundation for collaboration between the two institutions in education, research, community service, and other initiatives that support national progress.

In his remarks, ITB Rector Prof. Tatacipta Dirgantara highlighted the long-standing relationship between ITB and ISTN and expressed hope that this MoU would generate broader impact.

“ITB’s mission, past and future, is to contribute to education. While in the past the focus was primarily on teaching, today education must also be integrated with research, community engagement, entrepreneurship, and expert services. All of this must be approached in a multidisciplinary way to create direct benefits for society,” he said.

Meanwhile, ISTN Rector Dr. Isnuwardianto expressed pride in continuing collaboration with ITB.

“We are the ‘ITB veterans in Jakarta.’ Through this partnership, we hope to develop curricula that are more closely aligned with industry needs and open new opportunities for collaboration. We believe that working with ITB will strengthen ISTN’s contribution to the nation, especially considering our long historical ties with ITB,” he remarked.

Through this MoU, both institutions agreed to enhance synergy across various programs covering education and training, research, and community engagement.

Prof. Tatacipta concluded the ceremony with the hope that the partnership would go beyond a mere signing ceremony and be realized through concrete programs that make a meaningful contribution to Indonesia
