BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The international collaboration program, Learning Express (LeX) 2025, between the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) ITB and Singapore Polytechnic (SP), culminated in a "Gallery Walk" event held at the East CC Gallery, ITB Ganesha Campus, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The event was a platform for 58 students to exhibit the solutions they had developed over two weeks for problems they highlighted from the community of RW 02 Gempolsari, Cijerah, Bandung.

The Gallery Walk was attended by lecturers, students, and representatives from the community of RW 02 Gempolsari, Cijerah, which was the case study focus for this year's program. The participants presented various innovations designed to address three main challenges in the location: improving health and well-being, solving environmental and infrastructural problems, and increasing participation in the circular economy. Prototypes showcased included an organic waste stirrer tool to produce household compost, the “Rumah Ceria” concept as an educational medium for children’s health, a rainwater harvesting and filtering design, and a model for engaging housewives in recycling-based economic activities. These solutions are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 11, and 12.

According to Dr.-Ing. Daniel Pramudita, S.T.P., M.Sc, one of the Facilitator Lecturers of LeX 2025, this exhibition is an important platform for students to account for their work, receive direct feedback from exhibition visitors, and gain different perspectives.

"The main goal of the Gallery Walk is to provide an opportunity for students to present their final solutions to lecturers, fellow students, and community representatives," he said.

It is hoped that the innovative solutions born from the LeX 2025 program can be further developed and implemented to bring real positive change to the Gempolsari community. The official closing ceremony, held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, was attended by the Dean of FTI ITB, Prof. Tirto Prakoso, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D. In his remarks, he expressed his deep appreciation for the hard work of the students, facilitators, and the community, and highlighted that such initiatives should continue as a sustainable model of international, community-based collaboration.

Dr. Jaichandar Jaichandar Kulandaisaasan Sheba, a lecturer from Singapore Polytechnic, added that this collaboration has a broader vision. "For all of ASEAN to grow stronger, we need to work together. That is why we have this collaboration, because we hope to build a global mindset for both Singaporean and Indonesian students," he concluded.
