BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The East Hall of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) became the center of attention for young entrepreneurs during the Entrepreneur Hub Expo, organized by the Ministry of UMKM in collaboration with the Bandung Institute of Technology on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The exhibition featured various works and innovations from selected Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by ITB and West Java.

The event was also attended by the Minister of of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Maman Abdurrahman, S.T., who directly reviewed the entrepreneurs' stands. During his visit, the Minister was seen interacting with Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises actors, including at the stand for Wikalpa College, a tutoring business founded by ITB students.

Wikalpa College is one of the success stories from the entrepreneurship development program within ITB. As an online tutoring service focusing on the First-Year Common Stage (TPB) students and IELTS preparation, Wikalpa successfully became one of the winners of the 2025 Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW), organized by the ITB Career Center. For this achievement, Wikalpa College received coaching funds amounting to Rp 15 million.

According to the Founder of Wikalpa College, who is also an ITB mining engineering student, Daffa Mujahid Abdullah, the funds from PMW will be strategically allocated for technological development. "I am focusing the money on building artificial intelligence-based software for Wikalpa," he explained. This innovation is expected to enhance Wikalpa's competitiveness, which has been known for its affordable prices, transforming it into a platform that is not only inexpensive but also sophisticated.

The PMW program from ITB and the presence of the Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises at this event affirm the support of ITB and the government for the entrepreneurship ecosystem among academics. Events like the Entrepreneur Hub Expo serve as an important bridge connecting innovations from universities with broader market needs, while also providing a stage for young entrepreneurs like the Wikalpa College team to showcase their potential.
