BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — The Institut Teknologi Bandung Student Choir (PSM-ITB) held its annual concert titled “Nuevala: Chronicles of a Mystical Dawn” at Aula Barat, ITB Ganesha Campus, on Monday (May 12, 2025).
This concert marked the third edition of the Nuevala concert, which began in 2023. More than 100 singers from different cohorts and majors participated in the event, ranging from class of 2021 to 2024.
The Nuevala 2025 concert was performed in two separate shows, each comprising two sessions. Over 800 enthusiastic audience members attended, enjoying the performances delivered by singers who had undergone approximately seven months of preparation.

Under the guidance of Music Directors, Roni Sugiarto and Nicholas Rio, PSM-ITB performed 18 songs originating from various historical periods and cultural backgrounds, including Indonesia, the United Kingdom, India, Africa, and Korea.
In addition to the two MDs, the concert also featured four junior conductors, all of whom are ITB students: Clara Caroline Mariani (Engineering Physics, 2021), Kezia Caren Cahyadi (Information Systems and Technology, 2022), Regina Deva Carissa (Information Systems and Technology, 2022), and Gema Nadiku Pantouw (10122066).
Some of the pieces performed included Wipip!!! (Sydney Guillaume), In My Life (Arr. Steve Zegree), and Bungong Jeumpa (Arr. Josu Elberdin).

The concert also featured two arrangements by PSM-ITB alumni, namely Di Bawah Langit Raksasa (Arr. Samuel Benyamin Niman) and Gala Bunga Matahari (Arr. Dimitrij Ray). Notably, the performance of Di Bawah Langit Raksasa was its official debut, following its second-place win at the Choral Arrangement Competition during the 9th Satya Dharma Gita Choir Festival 2023.
AOne unique feature of this concert, not seen in previous PSM-ITB concerts, was the “Song Auction” held at the end of the program. In this segment, the audience had the opportunity to choose the encore song. The selected piece, A P T (Arr. Nicholas Rio), closed the concert on a festive note.
