ITB Rector Inaugurates Deans for the 2025–2030 Term

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., officially inaugurated the Deans of ITB for the 2025–2030 term on Monday (June 2, 2025) at the West Hall, ITB Ganesha Campus.
The ceremony began with the reading of the ITB Rector’s decree regarding the dismissal and appointment of the Deans, followed by the reading of the oath of office. Subsequently, the newly appointed deans signed the minutes of the oath of office, the integrity pact, and the inauguration by Prof. Tata.
The 13 Deans of Faculties/Schools inaugurated on that day include:

In his remarks, Prof. Tata emphasized that this agenda was not merely an administrative leadership transition but a significant milestone in the collective effort to elevate ITB to a higher level. “ITB can strive to become a higher education institution that not only excels academically but also remains relevant, transformative, and makes a significant impact on both the nation and the world,” he stated.

The Rector also expressed appreciation to the previous deans for their leadership through challenging times, including the pandemic and regulatory changes in higher education. He expressed his hope that the newly appointed deans would become facilitative academic leaders, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration, and strengthening each faculty’s contribution in developing the ecosystem of research, innovation, and community engagement.
“Faculties are at the forefront of ITB, where students are nurtured, research is developed, and solutions are born. In an increasingly complex world, we need the spirit of multidisciplinary collaboration to become our shared work culture,” he added.

Concluding his speech, the Rector quoted the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara as a leadership philosophy that is expected to be implemented by the deans. "Ing ngarso sung tulodo, ing madyo mangun karso, tut wuri handayani," he closed.
