BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., officially inaugurated the heads of various Supporting Work Units (Unit Kerja Pendukung/UKP) for the 2025–2027 term. The inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) at the East Hall of ITB Ganesha Campus in Bandung.

The appointed officials will lead various units, including the Executive Directorate of Multi-Campus; Directorate of Human Resources; Strategic Planning and Risk Management Agency; Directorate of Educational Development; Directorate of Student Admissions; Directorate of Academic Affairs; Directorate of Student Affairs; Directorate of Continuing Professional Education; University Library; Directorate of Logistics; Directorate of Facilities, Infrastructure, and Information Systems; Occupational, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Unit; University Health Services; Language Services Unit; Directorate of Research and Innovation; Directorate of Community Service and Expertise Services; Directorate of Science and Technology Area; Directorate of Partnerships; Directorate of Alumni Relation and Career Development; Directorate of Communication and Public Relations; Bureau of Administration Affairs; Bureau of Legal Counsel; Internal Control Committee and Quality Assurance Committee.

In his speech, Prof. Tata reaffirmed ITB’s commitment to strengthening institutional governance that is professional, adaptive, and service-oriented. He emphasized that the operational leadership assumed by the newly appointed officials plays a vital role in bridging strategic policies with implementation on the ground.

“You are the face of policy in the daily workings of the university. You are not only implementers but also drivers of the system,” said Prof. Tata.

He further stressed that ITB’s transformation into a fourth-generation university relies not only on a grand vision but also on the quality of execution at every organizational level. The newly appointed officials are therefore expected to act as enablers of institutional transformation—through strong leadership, accurate data-driven decision-making, swift and precise execution, and the ability to solve problems amid the dynamic campus environment.

Prof. Tata also underscored the importance of collaboration and integration across units. “ITB’s transformation is a collective effort. No unit can work in isolation. Let us strengthen cross-functional communication, break down bureaucratic silos, and foster a spirit of service with integrity and empathy,” he added.

He concluded by encouraging all newly appointed officials to serve with dedication, viewing their positions as a means to bring meaningful contributions to the institution and to society at large.
